Give a Reiki Hug and Help a Cancer Patient

Sponsor a Reiki Hug and Reiki by Ardath will provide a warm, cozy shawl for cancer patients that are undergoing chemotherapy and/or radiation treatment. These therapies and the cancer often leave the person feeling cold; the Reiki Hug is infused with loving Reiki energy and warms the person as they go through this process. Individuals may sponsor a Hug or purchase one for a loved one. The shawls take two to three weeks for volunteers to create by hand.
Hug sponsors will get a card with the information about the person that received the donation (if they are open to sharing their information) and the patient will know the donor’s name as well, or the donation can be made anonymously. Reiki by Ardath offers Reiki Hug shawls year-round as a community service for friends and families of cancer sufferers, but they make especially great holiday offerings. The cost of the shawl is $90, which covers the cost of the wool yarn.
