Learn Shiatsu and Meet Educational Requirements for a Massage License

Students now have options for evening, daytime or distance certification training at Zen Shiatsu Chicago. The school has offered an evening/weekend certification program in Evanston for 30 years, and in 2018, it is expanding the range of schedule options.

A weekday daytime training track is offered for those with kids in school or that work in the evenings. There is also a distance/intensive track for those with long commutes to the school.  Many course components are offered via an online option to give maximum schedule flexibility and cut down on unnecessary travel. The traditional evening/weekend training track will still be offered and is often ideal for those with a standard 9-to-5 work schedule.

Director Steve Rogne states, “The 715-hour training at Zen Shiatsu Chicago prepares students to become certified in shiatsu and also meets the educational requirements for an Illinois massage license. The program combines the knowledge learned in massage school with the knowledge learned in acupuncture school. Students learn to relieve aches and pains through acupressure and assisted stretching, while also interpreting the deeper messages our bodies have to tell us.”
