Year of the Horse Gallops Into the World

Elizabeth Wenscott

2014 marks the Chinese New Year 4712, when the mystical, mysterious water snake makes way for the high energy, strong-willed wood horse. One of 12 animal signs of the Chinese zodiac, the horse represents unexpected adventure and supernatural powers. To kick off this year’s horsiness, the Tai Chi Center of Chicago is holding a Year of the Horse Celebration and wild horse fundraiser on February 8.

The Center is the perfect place to surprise ourselves while we thunderously charge into our own personal, uncharted journey. Through practices that promote strength, endurance and determined action, we can improve our health and harmonize the union of body, mind and free spirit within the boundless natural world.Tai Chi Center Chicago

Now in its eighth year, the Tai Chi Center offers classes in tai chi, qigong, meditation, and beginning this month, TaijiFit. Follow the lucky, adventurous horse in its exploration of life’s mysteries and wonders.

Location: 4043 N. Ravenswood, Chicago. For more information and to participate in the fundraiser, call 773-396-2653 or visit TaiChiCenter-Chicago.com.
