World’s Fair of Consciousness Debuts in Rosemont

The exciting new Conscious Living World’s Fair will take place from August 1 to 3 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, in Rosemont. Visitors can experience more than 200 exhibits for mind, body, spirit and environment that will include aromatherapy, astrology, complementary medicines, eco-living, green eating, herbal products, massage, meditation, nutrition, natural therapies, organic health, personal development, readings, raw foods, spiritual growth, yoga and much more. The exhibit hall will offer a fresh perspective, and include vendors from the U.S., Australia and many other countries.

Organizer Karen Eby says, “I knew there was a growing need for a health and well-being event like this in America to bridge the gap between continents, science, parapsychology and spirituality. Chicago is the perfect location, because it already hosted the first formal international gathering of Eastern and Western spiritual traditions in 1893 at the Chicago World’s Fair. Our intention is to learn from and honor our perceived differences and to expand our personal knowledge of overall health and well-being.”

Eby adds that the Australian exhibitors like Singbowl, Chakra Jewelry and Equinox were instrumental in creating the show, which will unfold on five stages: the Performance Stage, Conscious Kids Kingdom, Conscious Kitchen, Conscious Spa, and The Bridge Between Two Worlds.

On the psychic medium stage, visitors will have an opportunity to connect with psychic mediums from Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra in Australia, the United Kingdom, Long Island, New York, and Chicago. Australia’s psychic TV mediums include Francis Bevan, Dagmar Bryant, Glenn Bryant and Christine Rose.

To kick off the show, an International Feminine Empowerment Summit will be held on August 1, featuring a day of free seminars with many inspirational international speakers like Julie Lewin, Antonia Ruhl, Luanne Simmons, Tanishka Tantrika, Jenni Mears, Renee Mayne and Dr. Maxine Therese, plus Chicago’s very own NBC’s Biggest Loser, Danni Allen.

At the Conscious Living Kitchen, explore how raw foods can change our life, with demonstrations of organic and raw food cooking, plus a demonstration of super foods. On The Bridge Between Two Worlds stage, a small wooden bridge over a water feature, see the world’s premier psychic mediums demonstrate their skills by conducting live readings.

The Conscious Kids stage presents a number of topics ranging from environment, self-confidence, persistence and more. Chicago Kids Yoga, LLC, will be teaching children’s yoga classes daily and The Kids’ Table will be performing food demonstrations. At the Conscious Living Spa, get pampered, plucked, prodded and prettied-up by experts. Take time out in the Meditation Room to learn the art of relaxation and take part in the guided sessions.

On Sunday, there will also be a fun attempt to break the Guinness World’s Record led by Jennifer Barron, of Chicago Kid’s Yoga, for the longest yoga chain, with the official Guinness adjudicator coming in for the event.
