Clinical Study of FemiLift Treatment for Vaginal Dryness

Alma Lasers is sponsoring a clinical trial through the Cleveland Clinic to assess the use of their FemiLift laser in the treatment of vaginal dryness in postmenopausal women. FemiLift is offered locally by VFemina, the only group of obstetrician/gynecologists in Illinois to perform this advanced laser technology for vaginal rejuvenation. Treatments are available at VFemina offices in Glenview, Libertyville, throughout Chicago and on the North Shore.

The clinical study began in May with a recruitment phase in search of healthy, non-smoking postmenopausal women between the ages of 35 and 70. The purpose of the study, which will run through March 2017, is to evaluate changes in vaginal dryness using the FemiLift laser, a 10-minute, non-invasive, pain-free laser treatment.

Dr. David Preskill and Dr. Joyce Chams, of VFemina, have been utilizing FemiLift on their patients to treat the symptoms of stress urinary incontinence (the involuntary leaking of urine while exercising, laughing, coughing or sneezing), as well as vaginal looseness and dryness. Their findings have been very successful, with many patients experiencing immediate, positive results.
