A Walk Down Memory Lane at Northbrook Inn

Northbrook Inn Memory Care Community, part of the family-owned Koelsch Senior Communities, is opening this fall with services that will enrich the lives of residents beyond providing basic care. The senior living project will offer an integrated care approach that includes exercises and activities to promote circulation and balance, spiritual and religious services, self-care programs and daily health management.

Multiple levels of memory care will be accommodated at Northbrook Inn. For residents needing minimal assistance and those requiring more extensive care, trained professionals and licensed nurses will be on staff 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to meet all specific needs. In addition, to give families or caregivers a break, they will offer hourly care and respite care (temporary senior housing).

Koelsch memory care communities are meticulously designed to aid and encourage residents living with the challenges of memory loss. From Cubs memorabilia to a classic car, Northbrook Inn will offer several points of interest for residents needing a small piece of a familiar past to feel better. In addition to a meticulously planned interior, large, secured courtyards will offer walking paths and gardening opportunities for residents.

The Pointe Drive neighborhood is one of the most retiree-friendly areas; quiet and close to medical facilities. Northbrook Inn will also offer in-house support groups for family/caregivers, as well as facilitate strategic relationships in the community to inspire their “family” of residents.
