Documentary on Plastic Pollution Showing in Highland Park




Straws, an award-winning documentary narrated by Oscar winner Tim Robbins, illuminates the problems related to straws and other single-use plastic pollution that inundates our waterways and oceans, and inspires a new path forward. It will be screened at 7 p.m., June 26, sponsored by Go Green Highland Park.

       Afterward, there will be a discussion addressing current topics that are of interest to local residents surrounding sustainability and what we can do to “Go Green”. Straws won the Outstanding Achievement Award in Environmental Film at the 2017 Cayman International Film Festival.

Location: Highland Park Police Station, 1677 Old Deerfield Rd., Highland Park.
