The Perfect Smoothie to Start the Day

Many people find it difficult to enjoy breakfast, despite its reputation as the most important meal of the day. It may be the hectic rush of our morning routines or maybe we just don’t feel hungry yet. While we may think that a pass on breakfast equates to saved calories and weight loss, science shows that we are actually sending our bodies into conservation mode. Taking time to “break our fast” every morning will set our body up for success, helping to kick-start our metabolism and balance our blood sugar.

Warmer weather and smoothies offer a great strategy for those that find it hard to incorporate breakfast into their day. Be sure to look for smoothies that have protein and healthy fats like the ReAlign Berry Good Smoothie. This balanced smoothie is functional medicine-approved, packed full of protein, healthy fats and fiber to keep our body full of energy. Plus, it sneaks in collagen, which is beneficial for gut health and reducing inflammation, and a stealthy dose of veggies, which makes it a great morning treat for smoothie fans of all ages.

This recipe is ReAlign friendly. Swap the collagen for the ReAlign shake packet for a Berry Good ReAlign Smoothie.

1 cup water

1 cup frozen berries

¼ avocado
