Meet Local Farmers at CSA Expo

The third annual CSA Expo, sponsored by the Northwest Cook County chapter of the Weston A. Price Foundation, will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m., March 15, at the Arlington Heights Library. Heather DeGeorge, a certified holistic health coach and author of How to Make the Most of Your CSA, will be a featured speaker. Meet local farmers, taste samples and find out about CSA options in the northwest suburbs.

Community supported agriculture (CSA) is a popular way for consumers to buy local, seasonal food directly from a farmer. Interested consumers purchase a share/membership/subscription and in return receive a box/bag/basket of seasonal produce each week throughout the farming season. Featured CSA options include vegetables, fruits, pasture-raised meats, eggs, apples, blueberries, honey, flowers and more.

Admission is free. Location: 500 N. Dunton Ave. For more information, call 847-230-0544 or visit KYFChicago.org.
