Learn Green Education and Recycling

The 2018 Green Living Fair, sponsored by the Libertyville Civic Center Foundation, Lake County Green Congregations and Faith in Place, will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., March 17, at the Libertyville Civic Center.

       Participants can learn about Earth-healthy daily routines from more than 40 exhibitors, including local environmental groups, businesses and youth clubs. There’ll also be continuous 30-minute speaker forums addressing today’s environmental challenges. This year’s speaker forums will address how we, as individuals, can respond to the issue of climate change.

       Recycling opportunities include bikes, bike parts, Styrofoam blocks, CDs, DVDs, eyeglasses, Christmas lights, hearing aids, cell phones, gym shoes, wine corks and batteries.
