Beginning Shiatsu Certification Course at Zen Shiatsu Chicago

Zen Shiatsu can be practiced effectively by anyone with just 30 hours of training. Starting this May and June, Zen Shiatsu Chicago will offer a Beginning Shiatsu course, which is the perfect choice for those wishing to share the gift of bodywork with friends and family. Shiatsu is a hands-on bodywork style, blending the relaxing benefits of massage with the internal and emotional benefits of acupuncture. Students will learn to give a detailed full-body treatment and discover the locations and treatment methods for the 12 primary energy meridians of the body.

Students may select one of two formats for the course. A five-day Zen Shiatsu intensive will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., May 7 to 11. Two 10-week courses will be offered during the day, on Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and in the evening from 7 to 10 p.m., from June 14 to August 16. The classes can be a standalone learning experience and also the first 30 hours of a complete Shiatsu Certification program. In addition to training, students receive bodywork in class, and there is plenty of time for hands-on exchange.
