Holistic Fair at Cayce Center in Des Plaines

The Chicago area Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) will host a holistic fair from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., May 12, in the Edgar Cayce Holistic Center.

Popular local intuitive and energy practitioners will offer healing sessions, as well as a range of artistic and educational products and activities. Sessions, typically $1 per minute, may include past-life regression, guided reverie, dream interpretation, aura photography or acupuncture. Local artists will be on hand with a selection of their products. Just added are free mini-lectures and meditation sessions to offer a deeper understanding of topics and therapies. A well-stocked bookstore on the premise includes Cayce-related books, supplements, teas and castor oil.

A.R.E. has facilitated holistic fairs in Chicago since the 1990s, emphasizing the work of the American clairvoyant Edgar Cayce. The fairs provide a comfortable, cordial, non-commercial forum in which people interact to discuss and explore a wide range of remedies, techniques and methodologies associated with health and personal growth.

Additional fairs at the Edgar Cayce Holistic Center are scheduled for June 23, July 28, August 25, September 22, October 27 and November 17.
