Coat Angels to the Rescue this Winter

Make sure that no child spends another local winter without a coat by attending the Coat Angels seventh annual benefit, beginning at 10 p.m., November 13, at Constellation, in Chicago. There will be live jazz from the Pilsen Hot Five, great people, a wonderful cause, and no cover charge; just a chance to give generously and keep the children warm.

Each year, Coat Angels collects names from schools in neighborhoods facing devastating poverty rates. It hosts fundraisers and collect contributions from the community. With the money raised, its all-volunteer team shops sales and discount stores and works with a retail partner, then bags and personally delivers cold weather gear to some of the neediest children in Chicago.

Don’t miss the Hot Bites for Warm Kids tasting room, featuring incredible edibles by Molecular Gastronomy Chef D’Andre Carter, of Feast & Imbibe. One hundred percent of all funds raised will go directly to help provide coats for local children in need.

Admission is free, Tickets for the Hot Bites room are $100. Location: 3111 N. Western Ave., Chicago. For more information, visit CoatAngels.com.
