Shiatsu and Shamanic Healing Demonstration in Evanston

Lindy Ferrigno

Lindy Ferrigno, a master shiatsu therapist and shamanic healer in practice for 40 years, has relocated to Evanston from Charlottesville, Virginia, specifically to work with clients and students at Evanston’s Zen Shiatsu Chicago. In a demonstration from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., November 13, Ferrigno will work with a volunteer from among the attendees to receive a complete treatment so that everyone can see what her work is like and understand what it would be like to work with her.

As one of the founding elders of the shiatsu education world, Ferrigno studied under Shizuto Masunaga and Akinobu Kishi, two of shiatsu’s most influential teachers. She has also intensively studied and practiced the indigenous healing traditions of Celtic, Shinto and Cherokee shamanism. These primary influences are blended with her skills gained through apprenticeships with chiropractors, osteopaths and internal organ therapists from many countries and continents.

Admission is free. Location: 825 Chicago Ave., Evanston. RSVP to [email protected] or 847-864-1130. For more information, visit ZenShiatsuChicago.org.
