New Art School Open in Northbrook

Pamela Tokowitz

Art and Soul, a new art school launched by Northbrook resident Pamela Tokowitz, provides creative art direction and instruction in drawing, painting, collage and beading. Classes are held in the Christopher Laughlin School of Music, 1955 Raymond Drive, Suite 118, in Northbrook.

Instructors, all Columbia College alumni, are experienced certified teachers and art professionals with a variety of visual art skills. Tokowitz holds a master’s degree in social work and has a long record of community service. She believes that art is important for proper brain development and that the process of creating art activates the imaginative side of the brain, which is spatial and intuitive.Art and Soul Northbrook

The school offers classes and workshops for all ages, in addition to multi-level drawing classes, innovative workshops for clergy and free, drop-in classes. Art and Soul also offers private instruction and special event parties.
