Funai Joins Healing Spring Acupuncture Center

Cynthia Funai, LAc, Dipl CH, has joined the practice of Healing Spring Acupuncture Center, Inc., as its newest associate. Funai worked in the pharmaceutical industry and realized that there are alternatives to the conventional Western medical approach to addressing disease. She has come to embrace acupuncture and Oriental medicine and believes that education and patient involvement empower her patients to take an active role on their journey to wellness.

Funai trained under Dr. Richard Tan and uses his method to treat a wide variety of conditions and health issues, specializing in pain syndromes, headaches, stress and anxiety, insomnia and women’s health issues. She also volunteers at the Cancer Wellness Center, in Northbrook, where she helps cancer patients suffering from the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
