Learn about Renewable Energy at 2014 Illinois Solar Tour

The world’s largest solar energy event, the Illinois Solar Tour, will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., October 4. The tour is sponsored by the Illinois Solar Energy Association. Guests can view renewable energy systems in action via a self-guided, statewide open house that demonstrates how real-life Illinois homes and businesses are using solar, wind and geothermal to become energy independent.

Home and business owners with renewable energy installations on the tour will answer questions about how to harness the power of the sun and wind to fuel homes and businesses, reducing monthly utility bills, increasing property values and being part of the energy solution.
