Vacation of the Mind is a community of meditation instructors on a mission to touch 1 million lives or more through the power of making positive, impactful lifestyle changes. They are offering a Sunset Meditation at the Chicago Skydeck from 6 to 9 p.m., October 6. This unique meditation experience draws inspiration from the surroundings to deepen the practice and create a retreat for the mind. Check-in begins at 6 p.m.

Participants will step outside the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere at 1,353 feet high. The Ledge, a glass balcony extending four feet outside the 103rd floor of Willis Tower, offers spectacular views of four states. It’s a one-stop Chicago experience that’s full of interactive exhibits.

Meditation is a mental exercise that with routine practice combats stress, increases productivity and brings joy into life. It is one of the most natural exercises we can do to refocus the mind, calm our thoughts and cope with stress. This event provides practical meditation techniques to calm the body and mind that can be used daily for lasting results.

Cost: $30. BYO mat or meditation pillow. Location: 232 S. Franklin St., Chicago. For tickets, visit https://tinyurl.com/sunset-meditation.
