Turn Positive Thoughts into Works of Art

The Edgar Cayce Holistic Center of Des Plaines will host a hands-on workshop to teach participants how to communicate positive messages through art, to be presented by Terri Gregory from 2 to 4 p.m., September 28. Participants will create a very personalized work of mixed-media art using a combination of photographic imagery, acrylic paints and motivational words.

Gregory, who holds a master’s degree in art therapy and a bachelor’s in fine art/painting, and is a strong proponent of creativity, believes everyone is meant to be creative in their own way. She incorporates aspects of art therapy into her work, stating that creativity and positivity is as important to our health as fresh air and vegetables are to living up to our full potential.

Of her classes, she says, “The final product is always amazing and delightfully surprising, especially for those who never thought themselves creative.”

Location: 259 E. Central Rd., Des Plaines. Registration must be completed online by Sept. 14 at Edgar-Cayce-Holistic-Center.square.site. For more information, call 847-299-6535 or visit HolisticCenterChicago.com.
