Learn About the Benefits of Reflexology

Jasmin Jahal, owner of Jasmin Reflexology, in Norridge, will give a free presentation about reflexology at 6:30 p.m. on May 6 at the Eisenhower Public Library, in Harwood Heights. She will speak about the benefits of this ancient wellness protocol, answer questions and perform a demonstration on a volunteer.

“Reflexology balances the body’s systems, encouraging homeostasis. It is based on the concept that every part of the body correlates with specific points on the feet and hands. By applying precise and alternating pressure to these reflex areas, the techniques stimulate neural pathways that support the body’s efforts to function optimally,” explains Jahal, a certified reflexologist in the Ingham Method.

According to Jahal, reflexology decreases pain, revitalizes energy, increases circulation and improves sleep. It also addresses many conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, chronic back pain, allergies, plantar fasciitis, migraines, autoimmune disorders and reproductive issues such as fertility, pregnancy and menopause.

Jahal’s holistic approach takes into account body, mind and spirit to provide a restorative, calming and healing experience for her clients.
