Green Metropolis Fair—Fall Harvest Celebration




The Green Metropolis Fair – Fall Harvest will he held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., September 14, at Chicago’s Lake View High School, to celebrate the abundance of the season. Highlights include harvest/garden workshops, home workshops, spirituality sessions, health and wellness discussions, craft demonstrations and author signings.

The Jeannie McQueenie Puppet Show; face painting; petting zoo, kid’s activity zone and crafts will occupy youngsters. Mike Nowak (MikeNowak.net), of WCPT radio Chicago’s Progressive Talk, will broadcast live from 9 to 11 a.m. and yoga classes will be offered throughout the day for all ages. Of special note, to help ensure the success of the threatened monarch butterfly population by cultivating milkweed, all are invited to participate in a seed release at 11:15 a.m.
