May Fundraisers for Epilepsy Foundation

The Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago will hold the 13th annual 5K Walk/Run to raise awareness and funds on May 11, at Cantigny Park, in Wheaton, and Old School Forest Preserve, in Libertyville. On May 18, the event will be repeated at Montrose Harbor, in Chicago. All events open at 7:30 a.m. and walks or runs continue from 9 a.m. to noon.

Friends of the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago partners with Savers Thrift Stores to collect used clothing and houseware items. Residential pick-ups are free of charge and all donations are tax-deductible. Items accepted include clothing and apparel in any condition, including shoes, belts, hats, bags, linens and towels. Unused items are sent to developing nations to repurpose.
