Local Chiropractor Launches New Health Podcast

Kristen Halland, DC, DABCA, owner of Balance Chiropractic and Wellness, in Hoffman Estates, has launched a new podcast series, The Nutrition & Lifestyle Review, available on iTunes, Stitcher and streaming live from her website, where a transcript is also available. Episodes will be archived and available for download.

The 20-to-30-minute podcasts will offer “no-nonsense, evidence-based answers to help you boost your health status, live a life fueled by whole-foods nutrition, focus on prevention and wellness as a lifestyle, and get the most out of the natural healthcare system where you’re treated as a whole person,” Halland says. New episodes will be released each Monday.

“Aging of the Heart and The Silent Killer Disease” airs on October 2. Halland says, “Did you know that the average person’s heart is actually eight years older than their age? We’ll discuss the top two factors that cause early or poor aging. The podcast also talks about the cardiovascular system, the disease called ‘the silent killer’ and what people need to be doing at home to catch it early.”

Office location: 2500 W. Higgins Rd., Ste. 420, Hoffman Estates. For more information, call 847-310-0303 or visit TheBalanceDoc.com.
