Fourth Golden Paw Gala: A Benefit for the Animals at Heartland Animal Shelter

Get out your tuxedo and Fido’s best collar for Heartland Animal Shelter’s fourth Golden Paw Gala to benefit the animals at the Northbrook shelter. ABC 7 News Reporter Charles Thomas will serve as this year’s special host for the event, set for November 13 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 2875 Milwaukee Avenue, in Northbrook.

The reception and silent auction begin at 6 p.m. and the program starts at 7 p.m. Guests can enjoy a selection of appetizer stations, wonderful desserts and a champagne toast to Heartland’s mission to find permanent, loving homes for homeless animals.

“The Golden Paw Gala gives us the opportunity to honor the volunteers, staff and donors who have helped Heartland take care of and find homes for more than 1,000 animals this past year,” says Executive Director Stephanie Preiser-Hoffman. “We will also celebrate the animals that have a special place in our hearts and those still looking for a forever home.”

Well-behaved canines are welcome at the gala, and there will be many activities to pamper the pooches in attendance. Tickets are $75 per person and $25 per dog prior to the event, and $100 per person and $50 per dog at the door; donations are tax-deductible.

Sponsorship opportunities and donations are being accepted at the shelter. Proceeds benefit the no-kill, humane organization, which is dedicated to finding homeless animals their forever homes while educating the public about the importance of spaying and neutering their pets.
