Get Money Back on Landscaping Purchases

The Chicago Sustainable Backyards Program is offering residents up to 50 percent rebates on local purchases of trees (up to $100), native plants (up to $60 rebate), compost bins (up to $50) and rain barrels (up to $40).

This educational and incentive program highlights the many ways Chicago residents can create more environmentally friendly landscapes in their yards. Residents are not required to attend a Sustainable Backyards Workshop to receive a rebate form. Workshops are offered for residents that want to learn more about the program or the basics of installing and maintaining rain barrels, compost bins, native plants and trees.
