September Women’s Wellness Expo to Take Place in Lake County

The second annual Self-Care Isn’t Selfish Women’s Health & Wellness Expo (SSIS) will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (doors open at 9:15 a.m.), September 17, at the Round Lake Beach Cultural and Civic Center. The event will include speakers, workshops, vendors and special performances. The Mind, Body and Business sessions will feature celebrity performances by Jershika Maple and Makenzie Thomas from The Voice, poet Sharon Epps and fashion with CC & Styles.

The expo speaker series includes Kenya Gray, Natoia Franklin, Cheryl Hudson Jackson, Barbara Young, Cynthia Lincke, Kimberly Ivory Graves, LJ Franklin, Tia Wilson, Jessica Gray, Prophetess Yolanda James and Chris Banerjee. Other highlights include an exhibitor marketplace, self-care workshops and more.

Chicago area resident and event founder Angela K. Baldwin is the owner of The Healthy SSIS Group, a combination of three businesses: God’s Essence Aromatherapy, a handcrafted aromatherapy business; Certified health coaching; and SSIS, Self-Care Isn’t Selfish events. Under the umbrella of The Healthy SSIS Group, Baldwin says she is able to follow her God-given mission to empower women to holistically take better care of themselves.
