Forest Fundraiser in the Woods

The sixth annual Beer in the Woods fundraiser,
a celebration of beer, nature and community to help nature thrive in the forest
preserves throughout Cook County, will be held from 2 to 6 p.m., September 24,
at LaBagh Woods. VIP admission is at 1 p.m.
The event is hosted by Friends of the Forest Preserves, an independent environmental advocacy organization that works to
protect, promote and care for the forest preserves in Cook County, the nation's
largest and oldest forest preserve district.
Founded in 1998 by a small group of concerned
citizens, the Friends community is now a force of thousands working together to
ensure that land, water and life will always thrive in the forest preserves.
