Pat Tomasulo, Stand-Up, Live & Hilarious

The hilarious Pat Tomasulo, WGN sportscaster and Chicago comedian, will bring his stand-up talents to Chicago Theater Works, 1113 W. Belmont St. on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at 7pm with his show: Pat Tomasulo, Stand-Up, Live & HIlarious. Tomasulo will headline the evening and is joined by featured comedian, Chelsea Hood, and host Adam Burke. Tomasulo is an accomplished television host and stand-up comic who uses his sarcasm and cutting wit to entertain, charm, and sometimes shock his audiences. As he says, “Think of me as Joel McHale, except 2 feet shorter and not quite as handsome.” Pat’s TV career highlights also include serving as co-host of the ABC primetime series "Shaq Vs,"; and filling in for Regis Philbin on "LIVE! With Regis and Kelly." He's also recently starred in “Pat Tomasulo: Man of the People” running on WGN TV on Saturday nights. Opening for headliner Tomasulo will be Chelsea Hood, a stand-up comedian living in Chicago, IL by way of the comedy scenes in both Dallas and Brooklyn. She has been featured on the CW Network's Eye Opener and CW33's Nightcap. She was also performed on Stand Up Records' "Texas Mess" album recorded at SXSW. Chelsea's style of humor is observational, feminist, and pleasantly self-deprecating. Some of the comics she has been delighted to open for include Jay Mohr, Donnell Rawlings, Maria Bamford, Ralphie May, Richard Lewis, Pauly Shore, JB Smoove, Paul Rodriguez, Tom Green, Michael Winslow, Bobby Lee, and more.

Originally from the UK (by way of Australia...long story), Adam Burke has been performing comedy in Chicago and throughout the U.S. for over ten years. He is a fixture on showcases and clubs throughout the Midwest. Burke is a regular panelist on NPR's popular comedy quiz show Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, and served as a writer on WGN's Pat Tomasulo: Man of the People. Voted “Best Standup” by readers of the Chicago Reader in 2014, he also won the Second City's Up Next Comedy Competition. Adam has appeared at numerous festivals including the Bridgetown Comedy Fest in Portland, OR, Just for Laughs Chicago (four years running), and on the local stage of Funny Or Die's Oddball Comedy Festival. He released his debut album “Universal Squirrel Theory” on A Special Thing Records in 2012.
