Astrology Workshop with Lin Ewing

Edgar Cayce, “the sleeping prophet,” thought that astrology provides a window to the inner workings of spiritual consciousness. The Edgar Cayce Center will host Lin Ewing in presenting a six-week beginner’s course in astrology and how it relates to spirituality from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesdays, from September 19 through October 24.

Ewing believes that astrology influences the opportunities and tendencies seen in people’s lives that change over time as the configuration of the planets and stars change, and that its study can help people take advantage of astrological influences. Ewing is the founder of Astrological Details.

Participants will learn the skills to understand the terminology, including planets, signs, houses, cusps and transits, as well as the relationships and interactions between the elements in an integrated way. Those with prior experience may take the last two weeks separately, which are devoted to a more nuanced interpretation of charts, including the role of transits over the course of time.

Students will provide their full birth date, location and precise time of birth at registration, which will enable Ewing to provide a natal chart at the first class, along with other relevant handouts.

Cost of entire course is $180/$150 if registered before Sept. 5. Two-week session is $70. Location: 259 E. Central Rd., Des Plaines. For more information and registration (required), call 847-299-6535.
