Neurofeedback Therapy Available at Clear Mind Institute

The Clear Mind Institute of Chicago, part of North Shore Health Solutions in Northbrook, is introducing neurofeedback to the Chicago area. Also known as Brain Training, this groundbreaking approach incorporates state-of-the-art equipment with the expertise of their professionally trained staff. Chiropractor Dr. Kim Martin, DC, FASA, BCIM, CFMP, is board certified in integrative medicine and a member of American Functional Neurology Institute.

Neurofeedback, or NeuroTherapy, is a non-invasive process in which brain waves are monitored in real time by a computer, which can then use that information to produce changes in brainwave activity. The process of adjusting brainwave activity is known as operant conditioning, a method in which rewards for positive behavior increase learning capabilities.

Neurofeedback is ideal for helping people with medical conditions such as ADD/ADHD, addiction, anxiety, autism, bipolar disorder, brain injury, chronic fatigue, chronic pain, depression, dyslexia, epilepsy, seizures, fibromyalgia, insomnia, Lyme disease, migraines, OCD, PTSD, stress, sleep disorders, stroke, substance abuse, and can be used for weight loss and brain mapping.

On April 8 and 26 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., the Institute will present a talk entitled, “Free Memory Protection” to introduce the program. Participants should call to register.
