Raw Foods Workshop with Gabriel Cousens

Gabriel Cousens

Gabriel Cousens, M.D., M.D. (H), draws upon his holistic credentials as scientist and medical doctor to lead a workshop, The Secrets to Thriving on a Raw, Plant-Based Diet, 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., August 17 at St. Augustine College, in Chicago. Drawing on nearly 40 years of clinical expertise, Cousens presents the key to successful veganism and an evidence-based map for radiant health and vitality through holistic, live veganism.

This new lecture was developed to address the persistent misinformation surrounding the live-food, plant-based lifestyle. Attendees will learn not only how live foods work therapeutically to cleanse and balance the body, but also how they can upgrade genetic expression to prevent disease and increase quality of life. The enrollment fee includes a vendor fair of local sustainable businesses and an optional kundalini meditation at the close of the workshop.

Proceeds will support the Tree of Life Foundation, which works worldwide in more than 32 centers, feeding more than 1,000 people a week and educating communities about whole, plant-based nutrition.

Cousens will also appear at Unity of Evanston for a Shabbat Celebration the evening of August 15 and an additional lecture the evening of August 16.
