Evanston Green Ball Now Includes Child-Sitting Service During Event

The fourth annual Evanston Green Ball will be hosted by the Evanston Environmental Association and the city of Evanston from 7 to 10:30 p.m., May 29, at the Levy Center, in Evanston. This festive, casual evening of food, drinks, eco-fashions, award-winning environmental art and live music helps support the programs and operations of the Evanston Ecology Center, which is dedicated to environmental education for residents of Evanston and surrounding communities.

There will be appetizers from more than 12 local restaurants and beverage companies. Live music will be provided by the exciting new Chicago band Ear Candy. Designers and models wearing eco-fashions made from creative sustainable materials will mingle with guests, and local green groups will participate with their own informational displays.

New this year, an Eco-Center Sitter service is available for parents to drop off their children at the Levy Center when they arrive for the ball and pick them up as they leave the event.

Tickets are $65 thru May 1; $75 from May 2-28. Location: 300 Dodge Ave., Evanston. For event details and tickets, visit EvanstonEnvironment.org/greenball.html. Tickets can also be purchased by cash or check at the Evanston Ecology Center, 2024 McCormick Blvd.
