Chinese New Year Celebration

The Feng Shui School of Chicago will present its ninth annual Chinese New Year Celebration from 9:30 a.m. to noon, January 26, at The Doubletree Hotel. This inspirational event combines sound healing, qigong exercise, intention setting and meditation. Director Laurie Pawli, a certified feng shui consultant, will share insights on how to make 2019, the Year of the Earth Pig, the most nourishing and abundant year ever. Each attendee will receive gifts, and vendors will be selling stones, crystals, art and 5 element products to create the best vibration for the new year.

Pawli says, “Chinese New Year Day is officially celebrated this year on February 5, when the astrological sign of the Pig is acknowledged. The Pig represents a mild, cheerful, happy and honest sincerity. The year will be fun filled and abundant. The downside of the Pig year can be stubbornness, overindulgence and anger.”
