National Prominent Buddhist Teacher to Speak in Chicago

Gen Kelsang Demo, a Kadampa Buddhist nun, will present Healthy, Happy & Harmonious - Building Positive Relationships, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., September 2, at Kadampa Meditation Center Chicago, in Wicker Park. Participants will learn how to cultivate better relationships through meditation and an exploration of modern Buddhist strategies, transform difficult relationships and strengthen positive ones.
Demo is the New Kadampa Tradition national spiritual director for the Midwest, and the resident teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center, in Washington, D.C. She demonstrates a wealth of practical knowledge and provides clear and inspiring teachings for people of all levels of interest.
She states, “Modern Buddhism is a method for improving the quality of our human life through inner development. Our quality of life depends not upon external development or material progress, but upon the inner development of peace and happiness.”
