Celebrate 50 Years with Kankakee Natural Foods

Kankakee Natural Foods will host a special fiftieth anniversary celebration of being in business from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., August 22, with 10 percent off purchases and 50 percent off sale items along with freebies, giveaways and more. The small, family-owned health food store and wellness center is located 60 miles south of Chicago, in Bradley.

Berdell and Harland Wingert were pioneers in their time, realizing the importance of providing quality organic foods for their family of eight and opening the first health food store in the community in 1970. Their children took over the store since their passing through three location changes and a new wellness center.

They continue to serve the community with an educated staff by providing healthy food items, quality supplements, beauty products, wellness testing, BioEnergy Center therapies and health coaching.
