Participate in Pollinator Week with the Monarch Joint Venture (MJV) and others throughout the country to spread the word about pollinators and how to help them. The MJV has a full week of activities both virtually and in person.
 
Conversation with Sara Dykman at 2 p.m., June 21.
Dykman, a conservationist and author of Bicycling with Butterflies, will chat with MJV and answer questions. The book details her bike adventure of more than 10,000 miles following the monarch migration.

Reinstalling Native Habitat on Private Property in the West at 1 p.m., June 22.
Homes, businesses, and other private lands have great potential for providing quality habitat for monarchs and other native pollinators. This presentation will provide listeners with basic considerations for pollinator habitat no matter their location, as well as specific tips and suggestions for listeners in the western U.S. that want to increase the habitat available for Western monarch butterflies.

Pollinators & Pints: Urban Growler at 4 p.m., June 23
Enjoy a cold beer and chat about monarchs and other pollinators from 4 to 7 p.m. at Urban Growler Brewing Company, 2325 Endicott St., in Saint Paul, MN.
 

Monarch Monitoring Meet & Greet at 5 p.m., June 24
The MJV has been monitoring at Falcon Heights Park for 20 years. Join the MJV at Falcon Heights Park in Roseville, MN for a special monitoring meet and greet.
 
 
Story Time with MJV, Ann Hobbie at noon, June 25
Grab a lunch or coffee and join the MJV at 12pm CST for a special reading of Monarch Butterflies, by Ann Hobbie, chair of the MJV Board of Directors. This beautifully illustrated book shares detailed information about monarch butterflies, their cultural significance, and how we can help them. On Friday, Ann will read her book on Facebook live and answer questions.
 

Let's Pollinate! North Mankato at 9 a.m., June 26
The MJV will be in North Mankato, MN, as the city plants a pollinator garden at City Hall. There will be a chance to help pop native plants in the ground, along with a number of family-friendly activities including balloon animals, face painting, seed ball kits, color pages and more.
 

Pollinators & Pints, Lake Monster at 1:30 p.m., June 27
Everybody loves puppets! Lake Monster Brewing, 550 Vandalia St., Ste. 160, Saint Paul, MN, will be hosting a puppet show for kids at 1:00pm CST and the MJV immediately after! Enjoy a Lake Monster beer and learn a bit about monarchs. Along with monarch information, we’ll have our special monarch puppet with us to show kids how the monarchs transform!
 

Celebrate pollinators with Miles for Monarchs
How many miles can you hike, bike, walk, or paddle in June? Sign up for Miles For Monarchs to celebrate monarchs and all pollinators. Join individuals from across the country as we get outside and raise awareness for our beloved monarchs.
