Wild Onion Market Celebrates Anniversary With Savings and Events

Throughout June, Wild Onion Market grocery co-op, in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood, will offer special promotions, discounts and activities to mark its second anniversary. The community-owned store opened on June 12, 2024, and has established itself as a go-to grocery store for local produce and products, organic foods, specialty items like non-homogenized milk and community events including Fermentor Fridays and Our Neighbors’ Kitchen.

Shoppers will receive a 10 percent discount on local products, excluding produce, during the co-op’s Anniversary Celebration Day on June 13, which will feature music, samples, a chance to meet local vendors and more. Owners will also receive the
10 percent savings on local products from June 6 through 14, along with a coupon for $5 off any purchase during the month.

Wild Onion Market is open to all shoppers. Customers may become owners by investing in the co-op. The store now has 2,610 owners and continues to welcome more new members.
