Rocio Sagrado—meaning “sacred dew” in English—is a family-owned skin care brand committed to 100 percent pure, plant-based products and is once again a familiar presence at local farmers markets this season. Co-owners Jai Dewith and Juan Jones, who divide their time between the U.S. and Argentina, have spent more than 15 years perfecting their formulas using flowers and herbs handpicked from their own garden.

“Our products contain no preservatives, colorants, synthetics or parabens—nothing artificial. Everything is based on the belief that what you absorb in your skin has the same importance as what you eat,” says Dewith. “We must nourish our body on the inside and on the outside.”

Their product line features more than 38 offerings. Shoppers will find skin care essentials and holistic balms; deodorants; aromatherapeutic fragrances; and insect repellents designed to repel mosquitoes as well as repel and kill ticks, fleas, lice and chiggers. New this season, Rocio Sagrado is introducing body butter for body and hair, cuticle herbal oil, shaving soap for beard and legs, beard balm and bath salts.

Rocio Sagrado’s products are available at the Woodstock Farmers Market; Farmers Market+ at the Dole, in Crystal Lake; and Ravinia Farmers Market, in Highland Park, throughout the season. In August, they will participate in Veggie Fest, in Lisle, and the Female Energy Fest, in Rockford.
