Plant a Tree for the Future

Planting trees in cities is one of the most important actions we can take to ensure that our urban areas remain vibrant, healthy and simply great places to be. That’s why it is the mission of AddATree to grow our urban forests by working together, one tree at a time.

The AddATree team came together over concerns about low tree replanting rates due to shrinking municipal budgets that are no match for increased incidences of pest, disease and other climate-related threats facing our urban forests nationally.

They are working to fund the planting of urban trees in two new ways. First, it is deploying crowdfunding strategies for new tree projects. Secondly, it is working with area businesses to reduce their paper waste and use some of the cost savings generated to plant trees in the community.
