Inspiring Talk on Love, Desire and Relationships Offered in Chicago
Gen-la Kelsang Jampa
International teacher and Buddhist monk Gen-la
Kelsang Jampa will give a talk, Love, Desire and Relationships, focused on meditation
and modern Buddhism, from 4 to 5:15 p.m., February 9, at Chicago Theater Works.
In this special afternoon discussion and meditation, participants will learn
practical methods to free themselves from attachments while cultivating a pure
love for others. He says, “If we practice in this way, our mind will remain
peaceful, and our relationships will be enjoyable, stable and fulfilling.”
The deputy spiritual director of the New Kadampa
Tradition—International Kadampa Buddhist Union, he regularly leads talks,
classes and meditations around the world and is experienced in guiding new and
experienced practitioners. He is well-loved for his clear and inspiring
teachings and his ability to touch people’s hearts through his sincerity and
loving-kindness.
